Tort moves one square at a time: arrow keys, WASD or ZQSD. Escape or P pauses.
Only one baby follows Tort at a time. Walk over a resting baby to pick it up, then reach the pond to bring it home.
Push the rocks
Sandy rock — shatters against almost anything, except a bush.
Dark rock — only a blue rock can break it.
Blue rock — unbreakable, and the only thing that smashes a stump.
Mind the goats: they headbutt rocks in all four directions. Walls and bushes never move.
| Name | Levels | Goal |

Turtle Turmoil was programmed by Will Helling, drawn and scored by Mike “Mojo” Apolis, and released as shareware for the Mac in 2001. It never left the Mac — and when Classic Mac OS faded away, the game went with it.
This version is a new JavaScript engine drawing on a canvas. It plays the game's own sprite sheets, sound effects, music and level files, extracted from version 1.0fc2. No original executable is involved: this is a careful reconstruction, not an emulator.
Some timings and enemy behaviours are educated approximations, and the level editor is not included. The in-game screens are in French for now.
